Bateel Coupons, Promo Codes & Discounts

Bateel sells gourmet dates. That sounds like a narrow business until you see what the brand did with it. Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Dubai, Bateel grows its own fruit on organic farms in Saudi Arabia and treats dates the way a chocolatier treats cocoa, with named varieties, controlled harvests and packaging that belongs in a jewellery shop.

The range covers plain dates by variety, dates stuffed with almonds, orange peel or candied ginger, date-based chocolates, preserves, coffee and savoury gourmet items. The gift boxes are the reason most people first buy, and they are the reason the brand does most of its volume around Ramadan and Eid.

Variety matters more than people expect. Khidri is firm and less sweet, Sukkari is soft and caramel-like, Medjool is large and rich, Ajwa is dark and prized. Buying a mixed box first is the sensible way to work out which you actually like before committing to a kilo of one.

Bateel also runs Cafe Bateel outlets across the Gulf and Europe, serving Mediterranean food alongside the retail range. The boutiques carry the full gift selection, which the website sometimes does not during peak weeks.

The current code on qponi gives a flat 20 percent off across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. That is unusually generous for a premium food brand, where discounting is rare, so it is worth using on a gift order rather than a small personal one.

How to use a coupon

1. Copy the Bateel code from this page. It covers the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

2. Open the store through the link on qponi.com so the code registers.

3. Add your dates, chocolates or gift boxes to the basket.

4. Enter the code in the promo field at checkout.

5. Check the flat 20 percent came off the total before you pay.

Tips to save more

• Twenty percent flat with no cap is the whole point. Unlike most codes there is no maximum discount here, so the saving scales with the order. A large gift order is where this pays.

• Buy before Ramadan, not during. Bateel gift boxes sell out in the final fortnight and the restocks arrive at full price with the best assortments gone.

• Start with a mixed variety box. Date varieties differ far more than people assume, and buying a kilo of one you dislike is an expensive mistake.

• Store them properly. Dates keep for months in a sealed container in the fridge and go dry and sugary if left in a warm kitchen. Gulf summers ruin an open box in weeks.

• The chocolate travels worse than the dates. If you are shipping a gift or carrying one, plain and stuffed dates handle heat far better than the filled chocolates.

• Corporate gifting is worth a separate conversation. Bateel handles bulk and branded orders directly, and at 20 percent off a large order the saving is significant enough to plan around.
